Good news for those who bought either a Moto X(s goog) or one of the three Moto Droid Ultra phones recently. All of them will definitely be upgraded to Android 4.4, also known as KitKat. Motorola’s upgrade support page was updated with the information on Thursday, after Android 4.4 was announced.
I found the information by way of Motorola VP of Software Engineering, Punit Soni, who pointed out the news on his Google+ page. Soni has been one-man social media support center for Motorola feedback and answers for the past few months.
To see the upgrade info, you’ll have to select either the carrier of your Motorola device or the retail outlet and then choose the model. I checked all of the recent Motorola phones and see that they will get betting Android 4.4. There’s no timetable, however. Selecting other models showed me that future plans are under consideration.
